Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage. A north- or east-facing window is ideal, or filtered light in a brighter location. Under artificial lighting, provide 12–14 hours per day for optimal growth.

Water:
Water when the top 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) of the medium are dry. In Calgary’s dry indoor climate, this typically means watering every 5–7 days. Use tepid, non-softened water and ensure the pot drains completely—Phalaenopsis roots are prone to rot in stagnant moisture.

Fertilizer:
Use a specific orchid fertilizer like Jack's Bloom Booster or Jack's Classic Orchid Food.
Alternatively, a natural regimen using Bios Plant Probiotics in combination with their sulphur supplement is highly effective for epiphytic orchids. Incorporate yucca extract to enhance moisture retention and improve nutrient uptake—especially valuable in dry environments like Calgary.

Pet Friendly:
Pet safe. Phalaenopsis orchids are non-toxic to cats and dogs according to ASPCA guidelines. However, avoid allowing pets to chew on leaves or flower spikes to prevent physical damage to the plant.
