Orchids | Guarechea Black Comet
Botanical name: Guarechea ‘Black Comet’
Common name: Black Comet Orchid
Kingdom: Plantae
Family: Orchidaceae
Genus: Fredclarkeara
Origin: Hybrid (derived from Central & South American orchid species)
Light:
Bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some gentle direct sun, especially in the morning. Strong light is key for blooming.
Water:
Water heavily during active growth (spring and summer), allowing the medium to dry slightly between waterings. Once leaves begin to yellow and drop, stop watering and allow the plant to go fully dry during dormancy. Resume watering when new growth appears.
Fertilizer:
With active growth (even in winter) we recommend using a fertilizer based for orchids like Jack's or you can use a natural ocean based liquid fertilizer act 1/2 strength.
Pet Safe:
Non-toxic to pets, however ingestion is not recommended. Keep out of reach of curious pets and children.
Plants in picture will not be exact plant. Plants and pots sold separately. Shipping of plants is weather permitted. Please note occasional breakage of 2–3 leaves may occur during transit.
