Purple Russian Garlic

This garlic has been grown at our farm in Delacour without the use of pesticides , organically grown!

Smooth, mild, and flavourful — Purple Russian is a beautiful rocambole variety that stands out with its long, torpedo-shaped bulbs wrapped in vibrant purple skins. A true heritage garlic, it’s been cherished for generations in Eastern Europe and beyond.

Raw cloves have a balanced heat without being overpowering, while cooking brings out a gentle, sweet richness with subtle earthy notes. Its unique shape and ease of peeling make it a favourite for everyday kitchen use, from sautés to roasting whole.

Like other heirloom garlics, Purple Russian is high in allicin and valued both for its culinary qualities and natural health benefits. Bulbs typically contain 6–8 large cloves, making it practical as well as striking in appearance.

There are around 12–15 bulbs per pound.
