Light
Bright, direct sun preferred. Thrives in south- or west-facing windows. Can tolerate bright indirect light but may grow more slowly and lose colour intensity.
Water
Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water deeply and let excess drain. Extremely prone to rot from overwatering. Reduce watering during winter dormancy.
Humidity
Prefers low to average household humidity. No special requirements.
Temperature
Ideal: 18–27°C (65–80°F)
Do not expose to temperatures below 10°C (50°F).
Fertilizer
Feed once a month during spring and summer with a diluted cactus/succulent fertilizer. Do not fertilize in fall/winter.
Growth Habit
A branching, upright succulent with thin pencil-like stems. New growth emerges green and may flush orange or coral with intense light.
Pet Safe
Toxic – keep away from pets and children.
The white latex sap is irritating to skin and eyes and should never be ingested. Wear gloves when pruning.
