Anthurium | Polyschistum
Botanical name: Anthurium polyschistum
Common name: Anthurium Polyschistum, Palm Leaf Anthurium
Kingdom: Plantae
Family: Araceae
Genus: Anthurium
Origin: Native to Central and South America, particularly Colombia and Panama
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate medium light, but growth is slower. Avoid harsh direct sun indoors.
Water: Keep soil lightly moist, allowing the top inch to dry before watering again. Loves humidity; misting or a pebble tray can be beneficial.
Fertilizer: With active growth (even in winter) we recommend using a fertilizer based for foliage plants like Bios Nutrients, Gaia Green 4-4-4, or fish fertilizer.
Pet Friendly: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
Unlike the typical heart-shaped Anthuriums, Anthurium polyschistum is admired for its deeply lobed, palm-like foliage that adds an exotic, architectural flair. Its leaves often resemble a miniature Schefflera but with the glossy sheen and elegance of an Anthurium, making it a rare collector’s gem.
Plants in picture will not be exact plant. Plants and pots sold separately. Shipping of plants is weather permitted. Please note occasional breakage of 2-3 leaves is normal when shipping.
