Citrus Tree | Finger Lime Red Champagne
Citrus Tree | Finger Lime Red Champagne
The Red Champagne Finger Lime (Citrus australasica ‘Red Champagne’) is distinguished by its striking and highly ornamental fruit coloration. The elongated, cylindrical fruits possess a deep burgundy to reddish-maroon exterior skin, often with subtle variations in tone depending on maturity and growing conditions.
Upon opening, the vesicles—commonly referred to as “citrus caviar”—reveal a vibrant interior ranging from rosy pink to rich ruby red. These glistening juice pearls exhibit a translucent quality, creating a jewel-like appearance that is highly prized in culinary applications. The contrast between the darker outer rind and the luminous, red-toned pulp enhances its visual appeal, making it one of the more dramatic and sought-after finger lime cultivars.
