This plant in it's native habitat is found on the rainforest floor making it the perfect plant for lower light conditions as a houseplant! There aren't very many black plants which makes it very unique. There are only 3 species that fall under the geogenanthus genus!
Botanical name: Geogenanthus Cilatus
Common name: The geo plant
Origin: Upper Amazonia, South America
Light: Moderate to low light
Water: This plant doesn't like to dry out! Prefer evenly moist soil. Do this by watering with less water- more frequently around every 5 days giving the plant a "top up". The water shouldn't flow through the bottom with this watering protocol because that is too much water.
Fertilizer: With active growth (even in winter) we recommend using a fertilizer based for foliage plants like Dynagro foliage pro, Gaia green 444 or fish fertilizer.
Pet Friendly: Yes
